Interior
Spacious and then some. The perfect balance of form and function, Tahoe’s interior features the best in comfort and amenities, seating up to nine in LS. Depending on the model you choose, options include heated and cooled leather-appointed front seats, second-row power-release fold-and-tumble seats and heated second-row seats.
Keep passengers entertained with the available overhead rear-seat DVD entertainment system. Back-seat riders get an overhead flat-screen monitor, two sets of wireless headphones and a remote control.
Get updates on your vehicle when and where you need them most. Provides important readouts of vehicle functions, such as engine oil life, tire pressure, fuel range and mileage. Includes warning messages and personalized settings.
Tri-zone manual (LS) or automatic (LT, LTZ) climate controls feature individual climate settings for driver, right-front passenger and rear passengers. Heated and cooled perforated leather-appointed 12-way power front bucket seats provide added comfort in LTZ, and include two-position driver memory, and driver and passenger power recline and lumbar support. There’s even a heated steering wheel, standard on LTZ, to keep you comfortable while on the go.

The 2012 Tahoe is engineered to get the job done, and the 100,000-mile/5-year powertrain limited warranty is there to back it up. The Vortec 5.3L V8 engine delivers 320 hp and 335 lb.-ft. of torque and gives 2WD models trailering power up to 8,500 lbs.
Combining Active Fuel Management technology and the Vortec engine’s efficient air-to-fuel mix, engineers gave the 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe impressive horsepower without compromising fuel economy. The Variable Valve Timing controls the valves during intake and exhaust, enabling the car to use even less fuel. These technologies help give the Tahoe an impressive 21 MPG highway out on the open road. It’s no surprise Tahoe has better fuel economy than any competitor.

The available Rear Vision Camera system is designed to allow the driver to use the navigation screen to see certain stationary objects located behind the vehicle while traveling in Reverse at low speeds.

The StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System with Traction Control and four-wheel anti-lock brakes help you stay in control in slippery road conditions, and Proactive Roll Avoidance engages automatically to help reduce the risk of a rollover crash. The standard Tire Pressure Monitor is designed to let you know when tire pressure levels are less than optimal.
OnStar Automatic Crash Response, standard for the first six months on all Tahoe models, means you can be automatically connected to emergency assistance if a collision occurs—whether or not the airbags deploy.
