For the 2010 Chevy HHR lineup, new and exciting changes have been made. The vehicle is front-wheel drive and most HHR models seat up to five. There is also a two-seat “panel” version that is great for delivery companies.
Regular and Panel HHR models come in LS, 1LT and 2LT trim levels. the LS and 1LT have a 155 horsepower 2.2L 4-cylinder engine. Optional on 1LT and standard on 2LT is a 172 horsepower 2.4L 4-cylinder. Both these engines can run on E85 ethanol-blended fuel. The SS has a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that has 250 or 260 horsepower.
Some of the Chevrolet HHR safety features include ABS, traction control, anti-skid system and curtain side airbags. An interesting feature is the new wireless cell phone link and a rear view camera.
With an automatic transmission 2.4L LTs had about 23 mpg in city driving. The automatic 2.4 LT had 32 mpg in highway driving. The SS with automatic transmission had a 23 mpg in city driving.
The 2010 HHR had adequate headroom and legroom for the largest occupants with comfortable, chair height seats. There is plenty of cargo room, especially in the Chevy HHR panel models where no rear seating is included.
