Exterior
Flexibility from the Outside In

Available Access Packages
For easy and organized access to your tools and cargo, each package includes three exterior, remote–release, side–access panels that can be opened by Remote Keyless Entry. Not available with optional driver–side 60/40 swing–out doors or sliding passenger–side door.
Carrying Capacity
The dealer–installed Roof Rack Package lets you add carrying capacity up top. Add the Roof–Mounted Swing–out Ladder Rack Package for improved access to all of your stored items. Both are designed and engineered to perfectly fit your Chevy Express.

Interior
Room for All
Whether you’re moving people or hauling tools, the 2012 Express has the capacity. Standard seating for up to 12 passengers on the 3500, or up to 15 on the extended wheelbase. Standard passenger–side and rear swing–out doors that open wide to provide easy access. Plus, for the driver and passengers, a variety of comfort options and packages.
Interior Amenities
Express Passenger Vans offer spacious comfort for you and all of your passengers. Power windows and rear–passenger air conditioning are standard on all LT models and available on LS. Pass–through rear seats on the 2500 and 3500 vans give you maximum storage without sacrificing seating.
Cargo Capacity
1500, 2500 and 3500 regular Cargo Vans have 239.7 cu. ft. of maximum cargo space5, while 2500 and 3500 extended wheelbase models have a massive 284.4 cu. ft.5 and up to 9,600 lbs.

Capability
Strength and Economy
The Express lineup features an unmatched selection of engines, starting with the fuel–sipping Vortec 4.3L V6 with an EPA–estimated 20 MPG highway. The Vortec 4.8L E85 FlexFuel3 V8 engine comes standard on 2500 and 3500 models, giving you a real choice in how you fuel your vehicle. 2500 and 3500 also offer the 6.0L V8 or opt for the Duramax 6.6L Turbo–Diesel V8 on the 3500 passenger van—the most powerful diesel in its class. Available features include an automatic locking rear differential on all models and GM segment–exclusive All–Wheel–Drive (AWD) on 1500.
Hydra–Matic Transmission
The standard Hydra–Matic 6–speed automatic transmission on all 2500 and 3500 models includes Tap–Up and Tap–Down driver shift control and auto grade braking.
Tow/Haul Mode
The innovative Tow/Haul mode system gives automatic transmissions a dual–mode shift program. This feature raises upshift points to use more of the engine’s power for strong acceleration and raises downshift points to help slow your van using engine braking.

Technology
You can keep it simple—even leave out the radio if you want. Or you can go high–tech with options like the available Chevrolet Wi–Fi by Autonet Mobile, which gives you reliable Internet access inside your van and up to a 150–foot radius outside, allowing you to run your Express like a mobile office.
Take calls at the touch of a button. Available Bluetooth wireless technology for select phones lets you make, answer and end phone calls with a tap of the steering wheel. It even mutes the stereo to take your calls.

Turn–by–Turn Navigation

Express 1500 Passenger Van and Cargo Van offer available All–Wheel Drive to provide a more sure–footed drive in inclement weather. Working in conjunction with the StabiliTrak, the Trailer Sway Control feature helps you stay on track. Auto grade braking, standard on Express 6–speed, heavy–duty transmissions, automatically downshifts to help slow the truck when you apply the brakes while descending long, steep grades.
The 2012 Express Passenger Vans and 1500 Cargo Vans come standard with head–curtain side–impact air bags. Available on 2500 and 3500 Cargo Van.
OnStar Automatic Crash Response, standard on passenger vans and available on cargo, means you’re automatically connected to emergency assistance if an accident occurs—whether or not the air bags deploy.
