And now more than ever, owners can personalize their 2012 Corvette by selecting the brake caliper color of their choice with the larger cross-drilled brakes—available in Dark Gray Metallic, Red, Silver and Yellow. Interior
The Chevy Corvette interior has been refined for greater driving support and comfort. The new seat design includes larger bolsters on the seatback and cushion areas for increased support, especially in high-performance driving but greatly welcomed for day-to-day driving. Optional sueded microfiber seat inserts complement the new design even further, as does the revised steering wheel featuring model-specific badges, streamlined switch trim, wrapped spokes, better hand placement and thumb grips.
No detail was overlooked in order to create the most luxurious Corvette Convertible interior to date. Padded center console and armrests on all models soften the interior, while the added visual touch of contrasting color stitching—in red, blue and yellow—is available with the Custom Leather-Wrapped Interior Package with sueded microfiber on the 4LT trim level.

Technology
Corvette is born of modern technology and can be seen in its hydroformed steel structure and options such as Magnetic Selective Ride Control with Cross-drilled brake rotors, but Corvette also includes features that keep you connected to your life. New for 2012 the Technology Package standard on 2LT, which brings together many of the most popular infotainment features such as the Head-Up Display, Bose premium sound system, Bluetooth wireless technology for select phones and more in one simple option. Corvette Coupe also comes with a six-month trial of OnStar Turn-by-Turn Navigation standard to help keep you on track.
For 2012, Corvette will offer a new Bose premium audio system which includes nine speakers for improved audio quality that is more precisely tuned to the cabin’s acoustics. New tweeters located in the instrument panel and improved Bose Nd next-generation bass performance round out this truly premium audio experience.
Keep important readings within sight while focusing on the road ahead with the optional Head-Up Display, including g-force meter. Utilizing proven technology, the display appears above the hoodline to make it easier to read while driving. Performance
The Chevy Corvette is inspired by the speed and force echoing from the world’s most legendary racetracks, while remaining on-road ready. The standard 6.2-liter LS3 aluminum-block V8 engine powering coupe produces 430 horsepower and 424 lb.-ft. of torque (436 horsepower and 428 lb.-ft of torque with available dual-mode exhaust). And with its favorable power-to-weight ratio, coupe performs like a thoroughbred, reaching a top speed of 190 mph and a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds on the test track.
Stiffen suspension capability for twisty roads while providing a more compliant ride for city and highway driving with available Magnetic Selective Ride Control, also included with the Chevrolet Centennial Edition. An electromagnetic coil resides inside each damper piston. When an electrical current is applied — variably controlled by a microprocessor — ferrous particles in the shock fluid instantly bond, making the fluid more flow resistant, effectively stiffening the shock’s damping. Conversely, when the electromagnetic field is reduced, the fluid flows more freely, allowing easier suspension movement. Explore two cockpit settings — Tour and Sport.
Just put your hands on the wheel and your foot to the floor. Corvette with launch control will do the rest. Included with the short-throw 6-speed manual gearbox, it modulates engine rpm in competitive mode to lay the power down more smoothly while providing consistent acceleration times on the test track. It’s a feature for those who like to compete in club-sanctioned closed-course track events, but may just tempt others to start.
